Trust Accounts

Save for your child's future

ECU is happy to offer no fee Trust Accounts!

Trust accounts are often used to build savings for a child's future. They are established by a trustee, often a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle, who has sole authority over the account until such time as the trustee may otherwise designate. Circumstances occasionally arise when it is prudent for more than one person to have authority on a trust account.

Special Shares for New Members Under 21

Here at ECU, we place financial education at the top of our priorities list. To encourage participation and early financial responsibility, the credit union issues a $20 share as a gift to each new member under the age of 21. This includes trust accounts opened for qualifying individuals by parents, grandparents or others. We are also happy to give every child an ECU piggy bank, so that they can be consistently reminded about the importance of saving.
